President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia has promised to rebuild the Mahaas district headquarters.
The President was speaking when he visited two regional states on Saturday.
He was at Galmudug and HirShabelle to assess the progress of the ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab militants.
While visiting the two regions, President Mohamud spent time with government forces too.
He commended them for the sacrifices they continue making to keep everyone in the country safe and secure.
The Somali President promised the residents of Mahaas that his administration would rebuild their district headquarters.
He added that a borehole would be drilled in the area to grant the residents access to clean and safe water.
A police and judiciary center would go up in Mahaas too, according to the President.
