President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has promoted Brigadier General Mahad Abdirahman Adan, the Corps Forces Commander, to the rank of Major General.
A celebration marking this achievement was held in Mogadishu on Saturday evening.
The ceremony was attended by several high-profile officials, including Environment and Climate Change Minister Bashir Mohamed Jama and Justice and Constitution State Minister Ilyas Omar Abdi.
