The President of Somalia is scheduled to travel to Uganda next week.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will visit Uganda next week on a 2-day official visit. During his visit, he will hold discussions with his host, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Insiders say that Mohamud’s visit to Uganda would see him drum up support for increased diplomatic ties between the two nations.
He would also be seeking better regional support as his term enters the third month.
His discussions with President Museveni are likely to revolve around security, regional cooperation, trade, and investments.
The two leaders would then preside over an Uganda-Somalia business summit in Kampala from August 9-10.
