President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud visited the Adan Yabal district on Sunday.
His visit was quite significant considering that Adan Yabal is now free from the control of the Al-Shabaab terrorists.
Somali National Army (SNA) recently conducted an operation to liberate the district.
The operation succeeded because of the joint efforts of SNA and the local community.
During his visit, President Mohamud reiterated the commitment of his administration to the stabilization of Adan Yabal and other liberated parts of the country.
He hailed SNA’s accomplishments in the last six months too.
President Mohamud stated that the government would soon embark on the second phase of the counterterrorism operations around Somalia.
