The son of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has fled Turkey after a horrible road accident that caused the death of one person.
Initial reports showed that Mohammed Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was in police custody following the November 30 accident that killed Yunus Emre Gocer.
However, on Saturday, it was revealed that Mohammed was no longer in Turkey.
Gocer died on December 6 after failing to recover from the severe injuries sustained when he was hurled into the air after Mohammed’s car rear-ended his motorcycle.
Reports in Turkey add that local police released Mohammed following preliminary investigations.
They never offered him any bail.
Consequently, the prosecution has issued an international warrant of arrest against Mohammed whose whereabouts remain unknown.
