Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) has warned that the country is on the verge of experiencing the devastation wrought by the upcoming El Nino rains.
SRCS reiterated the forecast by weather experts regarding the likelihood of floods.
For weeks, weather forecasts have repeatedly warned that the Horn of Africa region would be hit by the El Nino phenomenon.
They added that this would then lead to heavy rains and flash floods.
SRCS has vowed to work closely with authorities and other partners to mitigate the effects of the floods.
