The Somali Regional State of Ethiopia has denied reports of involvement in the clashes that have rocked Las Anod for ages.
Somali Regional TV (SRTV), a state-owned media house, reported the government’s denial.
“Somaliland is wrong in accusing us of taking part in the Las Anod violence,” SRTV reported on Facebook.
It issued the statement a few hours after the Somaliland cabinet urged the Somali Regional State to pull its troops out of Las Anod.
Somaliland had accused the Somali Regional State forces of supporting local militia.
