On Wednesday, the Upper House (Senate) in Somalia has condemned the peace plan that the United States has developed for the Middle East.
The unanimous decision by the Senate condemned what President Donald Trump of the United States called the “deal of the century.”
Senator Ilyas Ali Hassan tweeted the Senate’s displeasure with the proposal put forward by President Trump.
Ilyas said, “We condemn the US deal for the Middle East. We have voted on a resolution against it. The Senate will not accept a deal that fails to recognize the rights of Palestinians.”
Furthermore, Ilyas said that the only deal they would accept is one that recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine too.
Trump released his long-awaited plan to end the dispute between Israel and Palestine. He made the plan known at White House in the presence of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu.
