Somali Soldiers Trained in Eritrea to Join Anti-Terrorism Operations, Says SNA Chief

Somali soldiers that have received military training in Eritrea will join the ongoing anti-terrorist operations.

Brig. Gen. Odawa Yusuf Rageh, the commander of the Somali National Army (SNA) confirmed these plans while addressing the media on Wednesday.

The SNA chief added that the soldiers, who are returning to Somalia after close to two years of training in Eritrea, will join the frontline in fighting Al-Shabaab terrorists around the country.

Somalia has upped the ante in the fight against Al-Shabaab terrorists for the last couple of months.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s administration has vowed not to relent until the Al-Shabaab terror group falls.

Rageh reiterated his confidence and complete trust in the capabilities of the newly trained SNA troops.
