Members of Somali’s special forces rescued the country’s police chief from the terrorist attack at Lido Beach in Mogadishu.
A restaurant at the popular Lido Beach came under a deadly terrorist attack on Friday, April 22.
Three people lost their lives in the attack while eight others were injured.
Major General Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar, the Chief of the Somali Police Force (SPF), was in the area when the attack occurred.
Security sources believe that Maj. Gen. Hijar was the target of the terror attack.
Fortunately, he was whisked away by the special forces before Al-Shabaab terrorists, who were behind the suicide bombing attack, got to him.
