Somalia and Finland are to embark on close cooperation between their respective parliaments.
This emerged after discussions between Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe and Matti Vanhanen.
Sheikh Madobe is the Speaker of the federal House of the People (Lower House) while Vanhanen serves as the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament.
Speaker Madobe and Speaker Vanhanen spoke on the phone on Friday.
They discussed parliamentary issues, especially relating to the relationship and cooperation between their respective parliaments.
