Somalia and Pakistan are to start working together closely to degrade transnational criminal groups.
A meeting between Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs – Abdisaid Muse Ali – and Pakistan’s Moeed W. Yusuf on March 22 revealed this.
Yusuf is Pakistan’s National Security Advisor.
Ali and Yusuf held their discussions on the sideline of the ongoing Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
This year’s OIC’s Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers is taking place in Islamabad, Pakistan.
During their meeting at the 48th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Affairs Ministers, Ali and Yusuf agreed to accelerate security and economic cooperation too.
Nevertheless, their focus was mostly on the impact of transnational criminal groups.
