Somalia’s Ministry of Health announced that it had tested 597 cases of the deadly COVID-19 in the last one week.
The health ministry confirmed this while releasing its latest COVID-19 data on October 3.
In its update, it said that health officials tested 6,801 samples over the last seven days.
Once more, Somaliland led with 426 cases. Puntland came second with 117 cases while Banadir and Jubaland had 24 and 10 cases respectively.
In the same week, 26 people lost their lives to the disease while 182 recovered.
Consequently, Somalia now has 20,577 COVID-19 cases, 1,137 deaths, and 9,705 recoveries.
