Somalia Declares Ethiopia Will Not Possess Even the Smallest Piece of its Territory

Somalia has warned Ethiopia not to expect to possess or take control of even the smallest piece of its territory.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre of Somalia issued the warning on Sunday.

The Premier added that Somalia is ready to defend its entire territory from all external aggression by Ethiopia.

This follows the agreement that Ethiopia signed with Somaliland on January 1, 2024.

The agreement gives Ethiopia the freedom to use and control 20kms of Somaliland coastline.

Somalia has expressed its anger at this move. It insists that Somaliland remains part of its territory. Somaliland expects to receive the much-sought after international recognition from Ethiopia.

Prime Minister Barre informed Ethiopia to expect dire consequences if it proceeds with the deal.
