Somalia has set aside $10 million for tackling climate change.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud confirmed this when he launched the Great Green Wall Initiative on Thursday.
He added that the funds would go towards addressing the problem of desertification and loss of biodiversity.
The funds are part of the allocation Somalia receives from the adaption fund.
The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) also contributed part of the funds.
