Geneva, Switzerland – A high-level delegation from the Federal Government of Somalia, led by Minister of Telecommunications and Technology Mohamed Adam Moalim Ali, actively participated in the World Summit on the Information Society +20 (WSIS+20) High-Level Meeting held in Geneva.
The landmark event brought together global leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to evaluate progress and chart a renewed course for inclusive digital development over the next decade. “The future of Somalia is digital. We are working with global partners to ensure that technology serves as a tool for unity, education, innovation, and progress across all regions of our country,” said the minister.
The talks underscored ITU’s continued support for Somalia’s efforts in building a resilient and inclusive digital infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and equipping youth and women with essential digital skills.
