Somalia’s Defense Minister, Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, met with Türkiye’s Minister of National Defense, Yaşar Güler, in Ankara on Thursday to bolster bilateral relations, with a particular focus on counterterrorism efforts and training for the Somali National Army (SNA).
According to a statement, Nur expressed gratitude for Türkiye’s continued support in combating terrorism and highlighted the importance of further military collaboration, which he described as crucial for maintaining regional stability and security.
This meeting underscores the growing partnership between Somalia and Türkiye in addressing shared security challenges and strengthening defense ties.
