Somalia has held its first-ever National Institute of Health (NIH) Health Research Conference.
The conference kicked off on January 30.
Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, the country’s Minister of Health, opened the conference in Garowe.
The conference is scheduled to last three days.
Several health professionals from Somalia and representatives of the country’s international partners attended Sunday’s opening ceremony.
