Somalia has joined Kenya in vying for the soon-to-be-vacant African Union chairmanship.
Kenya announced that it would be presenting former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for the seat.
On its part, Somalia is to present Fawzia Yusuf H. Adam for the seat.
Adam is a former Deputy Prime Minister.
She has also served the Somali government as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
On Saturday, Hassan Moallin joined the growing list of leaders endorsing her bid.
Moallin, the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, said that the ex-deputy Prime Minister had already proved herself as a top leader in various capacities.
