Somalia has joined a taskforce that’s agitating for increased climate change financing for developing countries.
Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, confirmed this on Tuesday.
She added that the nation is a pioneer member of a new taskforce that seeks to improve access to climate financing for developing countries worldwide.
The taskforce is under the leadership of the United Kingdom.
Al-Makhzoumi confirmed that members of the taskforce understand the importance of the initiative in supporting the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
