Somalia has launched the Child Sensitive Social Program in conjunction with other partners.
Bihi Egeh, the federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, led celebrations held to launch the program on Sunday.
The program is part of the efforts by the labour ministry to support the poorest and most vulnerable households in Somalia.
The Child Sensitive Social Program will benefit pregnant and lactating women in Somalia.
Funds for the program are from KfW Development Bank while the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is responsible for its implementation.
