MOGADISHU — Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Salah Ahmed Jama, has revealed that the nation has accomplished significant progress in the digital domain, asserting that the country is surpassing numerous other nations in adopting contemporary government services.
Addressing the government’s digital reform strategy, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted these achievements as proof of the Federal Government’s dedication to institutional advancement.
“Many countries are currently working to achieve the digital transformation level Somalia has already reached,” Jama stated.

Mr. Salah Ahmed Jama also introduced a new program designed to consolidate government services through a single, user-friendly platform.
He disclosed that beginning next year, Somali citizens will be able to obtain essential public documents via one integrated system, including:

Birth certificates.

Marriage certificates.

Business registrations and other vital records.
Enhancing Transparency
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that service integration will not only streamline public access to necessary documentation but also improve organizational efficiency, transparency, and accountability within government departments.
Over recent years, the Federal Government has increased its focus on updating public administration and creating a reliable digital framework to foster national growth and economic formalization.
