A Member of Parliament (MP) has questioned the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) for reducing the budget of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA).
Yasin Farey, an MP in the federal House of the People (Lower House), asked the government to explain the decision to cut NISA’s budget.
He spoke on June 29 as legislators debated the 2022 budget.
Eventually, the legislators from the Lower House and Senate (Upper House) approved the 2022 budget.
Nevertheless, this never stopped Farey from asking whether a political war against NISA exists.
