Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire of Somalia has appointed Mukhtar Hussein Qoransay the new manager of the National Identification Authority (NIA).
According to the Prime Minister’s office, Qoransay’s appointment takes effect immediately.
Prior to his latest appointment, Qoransay served as an agent with National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) of Somalia.
However, it remains unclear whether Qoransay would be wearing two hats by taking up the new position while retaining the old one or resign as a NISA agent.
