Somalia has received tons of COVID-19 testing equipment from some of its international partners.
The equipment arrived in Mogadishu at a time when the country appears to be struggling to curb the spread of novel Coronavirus.
A statement from the country’s Ministry of Health confirmed that the Italian Embassy in Somalia was among the donors.
Others were the World Health Organization in the Horn of Africa nation. WFPA also promised to extend technical and logistical support to the East African nation.
The equipment that was donated includes facemasks and gloves. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) was also on the consignment.
