Somalia has signed a landmark $68.5 million Development Assistance Grant Agreement with the United States.

The agreement was signed this week by Somalia’s Minister of Planning, Mohamud Beenebeene, Finance Minister Bihi Egeh, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Somalia Mission Director Catie Lott.
It is aimed at enhancing key sectors such as economic growth, governance reforms, health, education, and the empowerment of women and youth.
