Somalia Receives Farm Equipment from FAO

Somalia has received several farm machinery and equipment from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The East African nation received machinery, equipment, and farm inputs from the Somali office of the global body.

FAO handed over the items to Somalia’s regional state of Southwest in a brief ceremony carried out on Wednesday.

It handed them over to officials from Southwest’s Ministry of Livestock, Forestry, and Range.

The farm machinery will help in enhancing the production of fodder.

FAO expressed gratitude to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for partnering with it in the RECOVER project to deliver the machinery to the ministry.
