Somalia has received a ton of humanitarian assistance from China.
A plane carrying the humanitarian aid from the Chinese government arrived in Mogadishu on October 17.
According to Fei Shengchao, the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, the humanitarian supplies included 10,000 tents and 50,000 mosquito nets.
Others were 20,000 aid kits as well as thermometers, stethoscopes, and baby weight scales.
Ambassador Shengchao said that the supplies were to help the East African nation in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Shengchao also mentioned that the Chinese government bore the high cost of producing the supplies.
