Somalia has received a donation of doctors and medicine from Ethiopia for victims of the recent terror attack in Mogadishu’s K-5 Junction.
Ethiopia donated the medicine to Somalia on Thursday, November 3.
The doctors and medicine arrived in Mogadishu in honor of the recent appeal by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia.
President Mohamud asked the international community to help Somalia with medicine and health professionals following the deadly terror attack on Saturday.
More than 110 people lost their lives in the weekend attack.
Over 300 people suffered injuries for which several have been airlifted out of the country for advanced medical attention.
Ali Haji Aden, Somalia’s Minister of Health, received the supplies and personnel at the Aden Adde International Airport.
He was in the company of senior Somali government officials.
These included Mahad Salad and Ali Omar.
Salad is the head of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) while Omar is the State Minister for Foreign Affairs.
