Nigeria has deployed a new batch of police officers to Somalia.
The officers, who will serve under the police unit of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS), arrived in Mogadishu on Friday.
The plane carrying the police officers landed at Mogadishu’s Aden Adde International Airport on August 19.
ATMIS announced that the officers would support measures put in place to make Somalia a peaceful country.
They would also work towards improving security and stability in the East African nation.
