Somalia recorded 323 new COVID-19 cases according to results that the Ministry of Health published on October 6.
A communiqué from the ministry indicates that the new cases were from 3,410 samples the country tested in the last 72 hours.
Somaliland had the highest number of new cases with 241.
Puntland and Jubaland had 48 and 18 cases respectively while 12 were recorded in the Southwest State.
Banadir and Galmudug each had five cases.
Moreover, 15 new deaths were also recorded as 110 people recovered from the disease.
Consequently, Somalia now has 20,900 cases of COVID-19. Similarly, 1,152 people have lost their lives to the disease while 9,815 have made complete recoveries.
