195 Cases of COVID-19 Confirmed in Somalia

Somalia’s Ministry of Health has published the latest COVID-19 figures, which show that Somaliland is responsible for 124 out of the 195 cases confirmed on September 13.

On Monday, the health ministry stated that Puntland followed with 50 cases. Banadir had 15 while Jubaland and Galmudug’s numbers were two and one respectively.

Further, nine more people lost their lives to the disease thus taking the fatalities to 1,032.

With 66 more people recovering from the disease, Somalia now has 9,066 recoveries.

Currently, the number of COVID-19 cases Somalia has recorded since 2020 has reached 18,568.

The health ministry continues urging Somalis in the country to adhere to the relevant protocols designed to prevent the disease from spreading further.
