Somalia Registers Two Aircrafts for the First Time in 30 Years

Somalia has achieved a major milestone after registering two aircrafts for the first time in over 30 years.

The aircrafts registered by the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA) are to start cruising the international skies soon.

SCAA handed out registration certificates to Hala Airlines and Freedom Airlines.

With the registration confirmed and certificates issued, the two airlines are now expected to bear the 6O symbol on their planes.

SCAA confirmed that 6O stands for Six Oscar.

Most of the domestic aircrafts operating in Somalia have been registered in Kenya. They display the 5Y prefix, which stands for Five Yankee.
