Nairobi, Kenya – The Chief Justice of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Bashir Yusuf Ahmed, took part in the Annual Forum of Chief Justices from East African countries in Nairobi, Kenya.
The forum emphasized people-centered justice, modern judicial methods, and alternative dispute resolution outside traditional civil courts.
Regional chief justices shared experiences, innovative strategies, and emerging models to broaden access to justice. Talks addressed common issues in East Africa, such as legal harmonization, public awareness, judicial training, technology integration, and maintaining new justice frameworks.
The forum ended with plans to prepare a joint communiqué detailing regional priorities, shared pledges, and actionable measures to bolster accessible, people-oriented justice throughout East Africa.
