Mogadishu, Somalia – The Second National Identification Authority (NIRA) Conference moved into its second day today at the Afisyooni Tent in Mogadishu, gathering representatives from government bodies, federal member states, private-sector executives, and international partners.
The event highlighted the notable achievements NIRA has made in the past two years, especially in bolstering and extending Somalia’s National ID system. Attendees shared essential research outcomes, conducted policy deliberations, and assessed innovations intended to enhance identification services and update the nation’s citizen data-management structure.
The prominent assembly will end later today with a formal closing ceremony led by Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
