The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has sent out an appeal to the Qatari government in strengthening the public sector capacity.
On January 25, Duran Farah, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, met with his Qatari counterpart to discuss ways of improving Somalia’s public sector.
Farah met with Yousouf Mohamed Al Othman, Qatari Minister of Labor, in the Middle East’s nation capital.
Their meeting took place on Monday at Othman’s office.
Furthermore, the two ministers discussed ways of “linking their countries’ labor markets.”
Othman assured Farah that Qatar was ready to open up its labor market to skilled and semi-skilled workers from Somalia.
