Somalia seeks increased representation at the International Labour Organization (ILO).
Bihi Egeh, the federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, stated this during his meeting with Gilbert F. Houngbo.
Houngbo is ILO’s newest Director-General.
They met on Thursday.
Egeh and his team used the opportunity to brief Houngbo on Somalia’s priorities which include the creation of jobs and the enhancement of skills.
Further, they discussed the generation of data and evidence.
The minister urged DG Houngbo to spearhead increased representation of Somalis at the regional and headquarters of ILO.
