Somalia seeks assistance from Pakistan with its national ID registration.
A delegation from the East African nation arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday ahead of a weeklong visit to discuss various issues.
Ahmed Fiqi, the federal Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, led the Somali delegation on the visit to the Asian nation.
Somali and Pakistani officials will discuss other matters too apart from national ID registration.
These include federalism and decentralization. They will also meet and discuss about state building, a process that Somalia continues to undertake.
Somalia has already announced its plans to embark on a new national ID registration exercise.
