Somalia Signs a Fisheries MoU with Oman

Somalia has signed a fisheries Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Oman.

The MoU, which was signed on May 24, ensures that both nations would work closely with each other to develop the fisheries sector in Somalia.

Specifically, they will pay more attention on improving the infrastructure for a thriving sector.

According to insiders, Oman will help to enhance the infrastructure that enables Somalia to process and market its fish and fishing products in the country.

Ahmed Hasan Aden, the Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy, signed the MoU on Somalia’s behalf.

Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, signed it on Oman’s behalf.
