The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) signed a new cooperation framework with Italy on Wednesday, December 9.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble announced the signing of the new deal via his official Twitter handle.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the strategic support that the Italian government continues to extend to Somalia.
During the signing ceremony, Roble also received tons of humanitarian aid supplies on behalf of Somalia from the European nation.
The humanitarian aid supplies are for residents of Puntland, who were recently left homeless when Cyclone Gati made a landfall in the region and destroyed homes and farms.
