The Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has signed a defense framework agreement with Turkey.
Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur, the Minister of Defense signed the agreement on behalf of the East African nation.
Yaşar Güler signed it on behalf of Turkey in his capacity as the Minister of National Defense.
Nur and Güler signed the agreement on Thursday.
Insiders intimated that the purpose of the agreement is to boost defense cooperation between both nations.
Further, they seek to improve stability and security in not only Somalia but the entire Horn of Africa region too.
