Somalia has expressed gratitude to the people and government of Somalia for supporting its health sector.
Dr. Ali Haji relayed his appreciation to Finland on September 28 during his meeting with Mauri Starckman.
Starckman is the Head of Cooperation at the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He visited Dr. Haji and the rest of the officials of the Ministry of Health in Mogadishu for discussions on wide-ranging issues.
Health state and deputy ministers were present at the meeting too.
Dr. Haji highlighted some of the areas where Somalia continues to receive support from the Finnish government, especially in the health sector.
Some of them include family health, midwifery, and reproductive health.
Furthermore, Dr. Haji thanked Finland for supporting Somalia’s efforts to build the capacity of the personnel serving in the health sector.
