Mogadishu – Somalia’s Defence Minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, who currently chairs the East Africa Standby Force (EASF) Defence Ministers, held an introductory meeting today with an EASF delegation led by Director Brigadier (Rtd) Paul Njema.
The delegation briefed the minister on the evolving security landscape in the East African region.
The discussions also focused on Somalia’s upcoming role as host of the high-level EASF Organic Policy Meeting, scheduled to take place in Mogadishu from July 15 to 19.
The meeting marks a significant milestone for Somalia’s regional engagement and its commitment to collaborative security efforts in the Horn of Africa.
