Somalia to Pursue Increased Cooperation with Norway in Development

Somalia and Norway will both pursue increased cooperation in development.

This emerged on Monday following a meeting between Mohamud Beenebeene and a Norwegian delegation.

Beenebeene, the Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development, held discussions with the Norwegian team at the ministry’s offices in Mogadishu.

His visitors were under the leadership of Bard Vegar Solhjell.

Solhjell is the Director-General of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).

Gunnar Andreas Holm, the Norwegian Ambassador to Somalia, attended the meeting and subsequent discussions too.
