Somalia vaccinated 42 percent of the population that was eligible for the COVID-19 jab.
The World Health Organization (WHO) stated this in its latest report on the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the East African nation.
Furthermore, WHO commended Somalia for such a “landmark” success.
Consequently, a significant portion of the eligible population is now fully vaccinated.
Somalia received its share of the COVID-19 vaccination from donations from the international community including the United Nations and the United States among others.
