Somalia has voted against a United Nations Human Rights Council Resolution to investigate human rights abuses in Ethiopia.
UNHRC voted on December 17 to launch investigations into the accusations facing Ethiopian government of gross human rights violations in Tigray.
Twenty-one countries voted in favor of the resolution while 15 were against.
Eleven countries chose to abstain from the vote.
Apart from Somalia, other nations that voted against investigating Ethiopia included Russia, Philippines, Pakistan, Venezuela, Namibia, India, Gabon, and Eritrea.
Ethiopia expressed its frustrations at the decision by the UNHRC to investigate it.
