Somalia is interested in being a member of the Peace and Security Council.
On February 2, Abdisaid Muse Ali held meetings with several foreign affairs ministers from different African countries in Addis Ababa.
Ali, Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, is in Ethiopia for the African Union (AU) 40th Executive Council.
He canvassed among his counterparts from Algeria, Botswana, Burundi, Namibia, and Mauritius on Wednesday.
Ali spoke of Somalia’s interest in joining the Peace and Security Council from 2022 to 2025.
