The meteorological department has issued a possible strong winds alert that is expected to hit coastal towns in Somalia.
The Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management confirmed the news.
According to the humanitarian ministry, close to 24 coastal towns are at risk of being hit hard by the strong winds.
The ministry listed some of the coastal towns as Barawe, Marka, and Kismayo among others.
Consequently, it has requested members of the public in these regions to be on the lookout for the winds expected to hit in the next few days.
