Mahdi M. Gulaid, Somalia’s Deputy Prime Minister, chaired a cabinet briefing on the 2021 budget for new ministers.
The Deputy Prime Minister held the cabinet briefing in his office in Mogadishu on Monday, October 26.
Dr. Abdirahman Beileh, the Minister of Finance and a team of senior officers from the ministry, briefed Gulaid.
Gulaid said that the briefing is crucial in creating a transparent budget-making process that earns the trust of Somalis.
He reiterated the fact that Federal Government of Somalia remains committed to the economic reforms it has initiated.
Moreover, Deputy Prime Minister Gulaid confirmed that President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s administration is focused on supporting development in all corners of the country.
