The electoral talks between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the Federal Member States (FMS) in Mogadishu collapsed on March 30.
Reports from the capital city indicate that the talks collapsed in the wake of increased pressure from international partners.
Leaders from FGS and FMS were scheduled to hold talks at Halane Base Camp on Tuesday.
Representatives from the international community were expected to broker the talks.
Some sources have reported President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo’s reluctance to accept some of the pre-conditions issued by regional state leaders.
Earlier, organizers were unable to decide whether to allow Farmaajo to attend the talks as President of Somalia or one of the presidential candidates.
